This is my first reading of Veronica Blade and I really enjoyed it. I liked seeing the bad boy rocker find his way to who he was and see he needed to change. I loved watching him question himself and when he got back to his life after hiding for a month he put those changes into effect and also tried to help those around them by speaking the truth to them.

Liam was the rocker who let fame get to him. He became a shell of who he was. His sister let him know to and it jolted him to start his journey of self discovery and love. Liam wasn’t a bad guy just lost and trying to find his way back. He lands in a little time to himself and finds Emma. Emma who intrigues him. Emma who has him wanting to become better. He questions his heart and who he has become. Emma has him seeing he isn’t who he wants to be. She has him fall in love with her even when he denied it. He respected her and supported her. We saw him change before our eyes. He no longer wanted a one night stand. At first he couldn’t figure out why but in the end he realized his heart was taken and after going home to see his mom realized it and wanted to take a chance. That and his sister knocked some sense in him and showed him he was a good caring guy. I loved his interaction with Scarlet and how when he wanted to get Emma back he said he wanted both Scarlet and Emma. He showed unconditional love to that sweet little girl and it warms the heart.

Emma was strong and independent. She did what was right and worked hard to become something and be there for her daughter. When Liam comes into her world she at first is wary. over time she sees him as a good guy and kind and caring. He was nothing but sweet and respectful of her. she never really knew who he really was and he did that so he got a shot at her knowing the real Liam.

The ending was sweet and heartwarming. the story was tender, intimate and heartwarming. There wasn’t a lot of drama but more a journey to finding yourself and taking a chance on love. It is told in Liam’s and Emma’s view and watching Liam change and his thoughts and feelings was great. Emma showed us strength and courage. The story has you love the characters and endears you from beginning to end.

I simply loved this book. Liam and Emma are both so easy to fall in love with.

Liam is your typical bad-boy rock star, or is he? He definitely has the bad-boy rep and he's been caught on camera with too many different women to count. But that bad-boy attitude isn't winning him points with his sister. After his latest tabloid appearance, she told him he can't spend time with his little nephew. So, he cuts off his hair (hopefully he'll be less recognizable) and decides to take some time off and escape LA.

He rolls into the small town of Gardnerville and stops for a drink at the Wagon Wheel Saloon. That stop practically turned his world upside down.

I loved Liam's little insecurities and how sweet he was with little Scarlet. While their attraction was obvious, I loved that Emma wasn't completely reckless in love. She has her head on her shoulders and she is actually a believable character (unlike so many females in romances these days).

Kudos to Veronica Blade for writing an amazing story that you can't help but read in one sitting - and for doing it with one foot grounded in reality (believable characters) and managing to make write a romance that is relatively clean. While I wouldn't necessarily call it "sweet" - there are some definite sparks - the content is what I would consider "clean." We need more books like this.

First off, can we talk about this cover? Can we say steamy?! The cover was what first caught my attention, and then I read what this was about and I was sold.

I love a story with a bad boy who is really not a bad boy at all. Liam comes off as this bad boy rock star, but I loved seeing his softer and sweeter side. I also love strong female characters which I found in Emma. Emma does not lose track of herself while the chemistry between her and Liam begins to sizzle.

I love a good romance book, but I hate when sex scenes take over the plot. I was so happy that this book did not take that direction. The sex scenes were not over the top and I really appreciated that. Normally I just skip them as I am more interested in the story and characters.

Overall, I ended up really loving this and want to read more from this author in the future.
Enjoyed, a fun read. I always love a happy ending.
