1) Who stops at a stranger's house, hundreds of miles from home, in the middle of the night, to ask for an aspirin?
2) What a coincidence she ends up in the town that was the starting point of the crime she was running from?
3) The Bullet character was absurd! Being talked out of his mission was ridiculous!!
4) Who would choose to sit in a jail cell all night on Christmas Eve and pawn your kids off on a neighbor? What purpose did he serve sitting there like a bump on a log??
5) Why do authors insist on writing characters who are obviously in love, as "he could never love me" -- "she could never love me"?
6) I gave up when she left town in order to keep the townsfolk safe. Don't know if she ever returned... don't know if he went after her... don't care!!!

This could've been a good story without all that silly crime drama. The characters were interesting and well-written with the exception of The Bullet and the Sheriff arresting someone for impersonating an Angel... what???
Why can't there be a "Boy meets girl, they fall in love, they work out their problems... he renews his faith... they get married" instead of so much unnecessary (badly written), drama thrown in?

This novel begins the series at Dry Creek and although it is a winter season in the book, it gives you a warm feeling of love.

I found this romance nicly written and easily read, This is the first book of a series set in the town of Dry Creek, Montana. I will be reading the second book in the series shortly.
