Its a good book following a girl who name herself Kessa
Her journey goes on in this second book the first book was so good that I had to read it twice
its not the fact that I did not understand it its the fact that it was a real good book so I

I really did like "The Best Little Girl in the World", Levenkron's prequel to "Kessa". But I cannot even finish this novel. It is SO boring! All the flipping back and forth between the past and present has really lost my interest. Steven Levenkron should stick to treating anorexics and stop writing novels.
Another book by an egotistical doctor that thinks he alone is the one man that can understand and cure anorexics.
I found this book very helpful to me in the way that it shows the hard work one must do in order to recover from an eating disorder. It shows a light at the end of the tunnel. It shows that anorexia and bulimia are only symptoms of a much larger issue at hand and that it really isn't all about weight and vanity.
I read this when I it came out, and I could not put it down. People worried about me because I was reading it at lunchtime. I related instantly because I was 15 and not eating very well, to put it mildly. It made me cry, and seek help, so I guess that's a good thing. Almost a decade later (and much healthier), I want to read it for nostalgic value. If I'd known it would be so hard to find, I'd have stolen it from my high school library. ;-)
