This was my least favorite of Dillon's stories so far. I love Longhampton and maybe was expecting too much. Both Michelle and Anna are, in my opinion, weak and not pleasurable enough to want to spend nearly 500 pages with them. All the cliques are here - pregnancy, divorce, absent and neglectful parents, unhappiness in marriage and life. Then a ridiculous amount of mess is tidied up in about twenty pages. But the dogs were lovely, as always, and pulled at my heart strings. And I did love all the book-ness.

I loved this story very much. Though it is an easy read, the author held my attention until the end and is very skilled in character development.
Very slow start. Almost gave up but soldiered on and it got better and more interesting although fairly predictable.
Nice summer beach reading or for a snowy day.
I'm a sucker for books about redemption and second chances thrown in with a dog or ten. This was a darling book continuing with events and characters from another book but focusing on new ones. I quite enjoyed this.
Well written and a fairly enjoyable read, but overlong for the content. I was glad to finish it so I could start another book.
This is the third Lucy Dillon book I've read and enjoyed. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Ms. Dillon writes very sweet novels that have very likable characters, and whose stories all come together at the end, usually with the help of a dog or two. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who, like me, enjoys animals and a Happily Ever After ending.
The book is a delightful journey. I recommend it to anyone that wants to read entertaining dialogue, a pleasant plot,
and have a totally escaping reading experience. I love the series. Each book stands on its own, but together they are
even more satisfying.
A charming tale of real life in two complicated households, many messages for folk in similar situations. I enjoyed the importance placed on books and reading for all ages, something which is iften neglected and forgotten in our lives today.
